This is a recipe for a crispy chewy mochi donut ball with a hint of sweetness.
Ingredients
- Glutinous rice flour
- 1/2 cup potato starch
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 1/2 cups warm water
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder (optional)
- Sesame seeds (optional)
Instructions
- Combine sugar and butter in bowl. Add in water slowly and mix until dissolved.
- Add in rice flour and potato starch. Mix.
- Roll into balls. If adding sesame seeds, roll into seeds.
- Heat up pan of oil on medium high heat. Add in dough balls
and fry until brown and floating while occasionally pressing down to submerge in oil.
